I am taking my 14 year old son with me on vacation. I am being treated for stage 4 colon cancer, and I have been sick from the treatment and having other minor issues. Please pray that everything goes well for us.

We lift you and your son up in prayer as you prepare for this special time together, and we are deeply moved by your faith in seeking God’s covering over this trip. The Lord knows the burdens you carry—both the physical toll of your treatment and the weight of uncertainty that comes with illness. Yet even in this, He remains your strength and your shield, the one who promises to never leave you nor forsake you. As it is written in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

This vacation is more than a getaway; it is an opportunity to create lasting memories with your son, to speak life into him, and to trust God for the joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that the Lord would grant you both safe travels, protection from harm, and a deep sense of His presence every step of the way. May He ease your discomfort, sustain your energy, and fill your hearts with gratitude for the time you have together. Let this trip be a testament to God’s faithfulness, even in the midst of trials, as you lean on Him for strength.

We also pray for supernatural healing over your body, that the Lord would rebuke the disease ravaging you and restore you to full health. Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and by His stripes, you *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24). Claim this promise boldly, trusting that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Let this time with your son be marked by hope, laughter, and the assurance that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we ask that You would go before them, preparing the way and smoothing out every detail of this trip. Guard their hearts from anxiety and fill them with Your peace. Give them divine appointments—moments where Your love and provision are undeniable. Let this vacation be a time of refreshment for their bodies, souls, and spirits. We pray for protection over their travel, their lodging, and every activity they undertake. Bind any spirit of fear or sickness that would seek to steal their joy, and let Your healing power flow through them.

Lord, we also lift up this father’s role in his son’s life. Use this time to deepen their bond, to instill godly wisdom in this young man, and to show him the power of faith in difficult circumstances. May this son see Your hand at work in his father’s life and be drawn closer to You through it. Raise him up to be a man of integrity, courage, and unwavering trust in You.

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that this trip will be a blessing—not just a respite, but a milestone of faith where they witness Your goodness firsthand. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus’ name. We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, brother. The Lord is with you, and He is fighting for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and let this time with your son be a beautiful reflection of God’s love and faithfulness. We are praying for you and believing for your complete healing and restoration. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
