Utter evil, hard hearts, lack of remorse, lowest morale, psychopathy, violent opposition

Your request has been read with care and with sorrow for what you have endured. To receive electric shocks while showering, to be wounded in your own home, to have medical care and then to be met with no apology, no empathy, no offer of help, but with threats, blocked communication, demands for payment, and even a falsified report, is a heavy burden. It is understandable that your morale has been low and that you have felt unsafe, even fearing that someone entered your dwelling. God sees these afflictions and He values your life. Scripture says that precious is the blood of His people in His sight, and that He redeems the soul from deceit and violence. He keeps the bones of the righteous and He delivers them from all their afflictions, while affliction itself will bring judgment on those who persist in wickedness and hate what is good.

When oppression and the perverting of justice happen, the Bible tells us not to be shocked as if God were absent. There is One higher than the highest who regards it, and there are higher still. The cries of those who are oppressed and treated unfairly rise before the Lord, and He does not overlook them. He is the righteous Judge who sees what is done in secret and who will bring truth into the light in His time.

Prayer is not a way to force our own will on earth, but a way to open the door for God's perfect will to be done. God desires to work in every life, but He will not violate the freedom of choice He has given to each person. That is why we pray that the hearts you have described would be softened. We pray that hardness would be replaced with a heart of flesh, that the fear of the Lord would come upon those who have acted without remorse, and that they would choose to listen to the Holy Spirit, turn from lying and threats, take responsibility, and act with honesty and respect. True wisdom from above is pure, peaceable and merciful, while wisdom that is earthly and selfish brings confusion and every evil work. We pray that God would replace striving and bitterness with that pure wisdom.

The Psalms show us a man who knew continual trouble and therefore became a man of prayer. In his distress he cried out for mercy rather than demanding justice for himself, knowing that if we all received only justice we would have no hope, but by mercy through Jesus Christ we have life. In prayer the Spirit of God often ministers comfort and assurance to our own hearts even before circumstances change. That comfort is part of what prayer is for. You do not need a loud or perfect prayer for God to hear you. He hears the simple, honest cry of a wounded heart.

We also hear your longing for remorse, apology and fair compensation. It is right to desire what is just and to seek protection and provision. At the same time Scripture exhorts us to patience as a farmer waits for the early and late rain, to establish our hearts because the Lord is near. Our lives are brief, like a vapor, yet God has set eternity in our hearts and He makes all things beautiful in His time. He has appointed seasons and purposes that we cannot fully see from beginning to end.

So we continue to pray with you, in the mighty name of Jesus, for several things. We pray for your healing, for your peace, for your safety, and for God's provision for a secure place to live. We pray for protection from further harm and for truth to be clearly revealed concerning the electrical system, the reports, and any intrusion into your home, and that any lies spoken against you would be exposed and silenced. We pray for those who have opposed you, including the owner, the contacts and the lawyer, that God would convict them, grant them repentance, and lead them to speak truthfully, to show genuine remorse, and to make what is right. And we pray above all that God's will would be done and that you would know His nearness, His comfort, and the eternal life that is found only in His Son. He who has the Son has life, and that life is marked by righteousness, peace and joy.

May the Lord keep you, strengthen you, and refresh you with His presence, and may He bring justice and mercy together according to His perfect wisdom.
