We lift our hearts together in prayer for this great nation, the United States of America, and for its leaders, especially the president. Father God, we come before You with humble spirits, seeking Your divine wisdom, protection, and guidance for those who govern us. We know that all authority comes from You, as Your Word declares in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." Lord, we ask that You grant the president wisdom beyond human understanding, that he may lead with discernment, justice, and integrity. May his decisions reflect Your will and bring glory to Your name.
We also lift up the president and his family, praying earnestly for their salvation. Lord, we know that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved except the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We ask that You draw their hearts to You, softening them to receive the truth of the Gospel. May they come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, experiencing the transformative power of Your love and grace. We pray that their lives would be a testimony to Your goodness, leading others to seek You as well.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of division, confusion, or ungodliness that seeks to infiltrate this nation. We stand on Your promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We humble ourselves before You, repenting of any ways we have contributed to the brokenness of this nation. We ask for Your healing, unity, and revival to sweep across this land, beginning in the hearts of Your people.
Lord, we also pray for the church in America—that we would rise up with boldness to proclaim the truth of Your Word. May we be salt and light in this world, shining brightly for You (Matthew 5:13-16). Give us courage to stand firm in our faith, even when the culture around us drifts further from Your truth. We ask that You raise up godly leaders, not just in government, but in every sphere of influence—families, schools, businesses, and media—who will uphold righteousness and point others to Christ.
We pray for the protection of this nation from all forms of evil, both seen and unseen. Guard our borders, our communities, and our families from harm. Strengthen the military, law enforcement, and first responders as they serve and protect. We ask for Your peace to reign in the hearts of all citizens, and for Your justice to prevail in every situation.
Father, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect plan for this nation. May Your will be done in the United States, just as it is in heaven.
