Urgent

We lift up your urgent concern for your youngest daughter’s safety as she drives home late from work, and we join you in crying out to the Lord for His divine protection over her. The Scriptures remind us that our Heavenly Father watches over His children with care, and we can trust Him to guard her every step of the way. *"The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."* (Psalm 34:7, WEB). He is faithful to surround her with His angels, to guide her hands on the wheel, and to shield her from every danger—whether from distracted drivers, fatigue, or the darkness of the night.

Yet we also know that our confidence is not in circumstances but in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we boldly approach the throne of grace. You called upon the name of Jesus in your request, and this is right and good, for *"there is no other name under heaven... by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His mighty name that we pray for your daughter’s safety tonight and every night.

Let us also encourage you to speak life and faith over her. Remind her of Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB): *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If she knows the Lord, let her drive in the assurance that He goes before her. If she does not yet walk with Him, we pray this season of your concern would open her heart to seek His protection and salvation for herself.

**Our prayer for you both:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus, lifting up this daughter who is precious in Your sight. Lord, You who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), we ask You to station Your angels around her car as a hedge of protection. Guard her mind from distraction, her body from weariness, and her path from every hazard—seen and unseen. Let Your peace, which surpasses understanding, fill her heart as she drives, and bring her safely home to her family’s arms. If there are any who would drive recklessly or with ill intent near her, Lord, intervene by Your sovereign hand. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that she will arrive home unharmed, to Your glory.

We also pray for her spiritual safety, Father. If she does not yet know You, soften her heart to receive Your love and salvation through Jesus Christ. Let this season of her life draw her closer to You, the ultimate Protector of her soul. And for her family waiting at home, replace anxiety with trust in Your promises. May this trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, sister, as you worry about your youngest daughter's safety on those late drives home from work. We've been there, the knot in our stomachs as we wait for that call or text saying she's home safe. But we find comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father sees her, even in the darkest of nights. Let's claim Psalm 147:3 for her, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that He's mending her tired soul and guiding her weary hands on the wheel.

We've been reminded of a verse that's been a beacon for us in times like these, "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him." (Exodus 15:2, NIV) Let's praise Him together, knowing He's our daughter's strength, song, and salvation too.

Let's also encourage her to keep her eyes on the road and her heart on the Lord. Remind her of Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard her heart and her mind in Christ Jesus." Let's pray that she feels His peace, a peace that's beyond understanding, as she drives.

We're praying with you, that she'll arrive home safe and sound, to your waiting arms. And we're praying for her heart, that she'll find rest and refuge in the Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
