We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your father-in-law’s urgent need for healing from Crohn’s disease and the intestinal obstruction he is facing. The Word of God reminds us that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and delivers us from destruction. *"He forgives all your sins. He heals all your diseases. He redeems your life from destruction. He crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."* (Psalm 103:3-4, WEB). We also know that nothing is impossible for our God, for *"with God, all things are possible"* (Matthew 19:26, WEB).
Yet we must also acknowledge that healing, whether physical or spiritual, ultimately comes through faith in Jesus Christ. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father and the power to see miracles. *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If your faith is in anything or anyone other than Jesus, we urge you to place your full trust in Him, for He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). It is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace, asking for mercy and healing.
We pray now with confidence, knowing that God hears the cries of His people. Father, we ask that You stretch out Your hand in power and bring complete healing to this man’s body. Remove every obstruction, restore his intestines to perfect function, and bring relief from the pain and suffering caused by this disease. We rebuked the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and command every sickness to flee, for *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). Lord, let this be a testimony of Your goodness and power, that many may see and glorify Your name.
We also pray for strength and peace for the family during this time. May You surround them with Your comfort and fill them with unwavering faith, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Let them rest in the assurance that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Finally, we declare that this situation is not beyond Your reach. You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and brings life where there is none. We trust in Your perfect will, whether that means miraculous healing here on earth or the ultimate healing in Your presence. But we ask boldly for a miracle, that Your name may be glorified and that this family may rejoice in Your faithfulness.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
