We hear your desperate cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours as we lift this heavy burden before the Lord. Your love for your wife is evident, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, believing that God hears the cries of His children and moves with compassion toward those who call upon Him in truth.
First, we must address the foundation of our prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full"* (John 16:23-24 WEB). If you or your wife have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Salvation comes through no other name, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you are unsure how to pray for salvation, simply confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most critical step in approaching God with any request.
Now, we lift your precious wife before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician waits to bring healing and restoration. Father God, we come before You with hearts broken for this dear sister in Christ who is suffering with sarcoidosis. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who restores. We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon her body. Your Word declares, *"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions"* (Psalm 107:20 WEB). Speak Your word over her, Lord, and bring complete healing to every cell, every organ, and every system affected by this disease. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, for it is written, *"Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:4-5 WEB). We claim this promise of healing for her, believing that by His stripes, she is healed.
Lord, we also pray for the loneliness and isolation she is experiencing. You have said, *"I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you"* (John 14:18 WEB). Father, be her constant companion, her comfort, and her strength. Surround her with Your presence so tangibly that she feels Your arms holding her. Provide for her needs, both practical and emotional. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides. Open doors for her to receive the care, support, and resources she needs. If there are believers nearby, raise them up to be Your hands and feet to her, that she may experience Your love through Your people.
We also lift up this marriage before You, Lord. The distance and time apart must weigh heavily on both of your hearts. Father, we ask that You would sustain the love, commitment, and covenant between this husband and wife. Your Word says, *"Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9 WEB). Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and knit their hearts together even in this season of separation. Give them hope and patience as they wait to be reunited. Provide a way for this husband to be with his wife, whether through travel, relocation, or divine intervention. We declare that the enemy’s plans to divide and destroy this marriage will not prevail, for *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment"* (Isaiah 53:17 WEB).
Father, we also pray for provision. The condition of her home and lack of transportation are practical burdens that need Your divine intervention. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. Provide the resources, labor, and assistance needed to restore her home. Send help to repair what is broken and to bring comfort to her living space. Provide reliable transportation so she is no longer isolated. Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in the hearts of Your people to be generous and to meet these needs. *"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
We also rebuke any spirit of despair, fear, or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in either of their hearts. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You, Lord. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1:8). Remind them daily that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28) and that this season, though painful, is not without purpose.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this trial for Your glory. Let Your light shine through their story so that others may see Your faithfulness and be drawn to You. May their testimony of Your healing, provision, and love be a beacon of hope to those who are also suffering. We trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we wait expectantly for Your miracles in this situation.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
