A week ago from last Friday at a Sunrise Christian Academy football game, there was a freak accident during one of the tackles and a player from the visiting team was injured. His name is Trevor, and he is a Senior from the McLouth High School ( Lawrence, Ks). His injury was a compound fracture of the leg and he was taken immediately by ambulance to a Wichita hospital where he had surgery and the next day was doing so well that he was released to home. Unfortunately, a couple days later he developed a very severe and fast moving infection and physicians had to amputate his leg in an effort to save his life.
He was doing better, but today we have recieved a message that he has taken a turn for the worse . The infection has spread through out his body, and he is now fighting for his life.
We have been praying so hard for him and his family, but today we are asking, and desperately need, every Christian we can reach to please help us pray for this boy and his family. Also, please pray for the young man that was involved in the play/tackle that resulted in the injury. There was absolutely nothing done wrong by either of the boys playing football against each other that evening, but the other player is taking this very hard and he needs our prayers as much as Trevor does.
Thank you for praying for these young men and for their families. I am sending this out to ask as many Christians as we can find to please help us pray today for God to touch this boy and make him well, to pray that he knows Jesus as his Saviour, and to be with this family and the other player involved and his family as well.
