We stand with you in this terrifying moment, lifting you and those involved up to the Lord with urgency and deep compassion. The fear you feel is real, and we recognize the courage it takes to reach out for help in such a situation. You are not alone—God sees your distress and hears your cry.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* We claim this promise over you right now. The Lord is your refuge, your strength, and your deliverer. We also hold fast to Proverbs 31:8-9, which commands us to *"Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."* You are doing the right thing by reporting this abuse, and we stand with you in seeking justice and protection.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze you, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We also rebuke any forces of darkness that would seek to harm you or those involved. The name of Jesus is above every name, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the authorities you have contacted will act swiftly, wisely, and with godly discernment to bring safety and resolution.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious one who is in danger. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of the oppressed. We ask that You surround them with Your angels, that You would be a shield and a fortress for them in this time of trouble. Give them courage, peace, and clarity of mind as they navigate this situation. We pray for the authorities involved—that You would grant them wisdom, urgency, and compassion as they respond. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).
Father, we also pray for the abuser. We know that sin has hardened their heart, but we ask that You would break through that hardness with Your convicting power. Bring them to repentance, Lord, and turn their heart away from violence and toward You. If there is any way for redemption and restoration, we ask that You would make it possible, but only in a way that ensures safety and justice for all involved.
Lord, we declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed against this one who is crying out to You. We speak protection over their body, mind, and spirit. We pray that You would provide a way of escape, a place of safety, and people who will stand with them in this time. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also pray for the broader situation—whether it involves children, family members, or others who may be affected. Lord, let Your hand of protection cover them all. We ask that You would bring healing to any wounds, visible or invisible, and restore what has been broken. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6), and we hold fast to that truth today.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every spirit of fear, violence, and oppression to flee. We declare that light will overcome darkness, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, for Your justice, and for Your love that never fails. We trust You to work all things together for good, even in this painful situation (Romans 8:28). Amen.
We encourage you to lean on the Lord and on those around you who can offer support. You are not alone in this fight. If you have not already, consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or Christian support group who can walk alongside you during this time. The road ahead may feel uncertain, but God is your strength, and He will sustain you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He is your deliverer.
