We are truly sorry to hear about your sons' struggles, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance with you.
Firstly, we want to address the situation with your younger son. It is crucial to pray for him, that God may grant him the strength to resist negative influences and the courage to walk in the path of righteousness and followership of Jesus. We must also pray for his deliverance from any substance abuse, as this is a form of bondage that can harm his relationship with God and others. It is very important for him to be part of a church community that follows God's rules and order for life.
Let us pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother who has been arrested. Lord, you know the details of his situation, and we ask for your mercy and divine intervention or miracles. Help him to be drawn to you and not the ways of the world in Jesus name. He needs God to help him with an abiding fear of God and to be drawn away from the love of money. Deliver him from any form of substance abuse, and help him to be fully obedient and in love with you in Jesus name. Guide him in your truth, and teach him to fear you and obey your commandments. WeJesus name. We take authority over every chain of addiction and bondage in his life, and we declare his freedom in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen."
Regarding his keeping the Sabbath, we encourage him to focus on all of God's commandments and to seek a full relationship with Jesus rather than legalism.
For your older son and his girlfriend, we must address that it is not acceptable for them to be sleeping together in a car or anywhere else. This is fornication or possibly adultery and is clearly against God's commandments. It is important for them to repent from this sin and pursue purity and holiness. We should also pray for their protection and for God's guidance in their lives.
Let us pray:
"Father in heaven, we lift up our dear brother and his girlfriend to you in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask for your forgiveness and mercy upon their lives and relationship. Help them by giving them the grace and power to resist temptation, and to walk in purity and holiness. Show them the blessings of marriage and waiting on you for sex in Jesus name. Guide them in your truth, and help them to serve you and obey your commandments. Protect them from all harm and danger, and give them a safe place to rest. Help them grow in love and your fear. May their relationship be honoring of you. May you bless them to both be Christians and to be married. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue praying for your sons and to trust in the power of God to transform their lives. Remember the words of James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We also want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, we should always pray in the name of Jesus, as it is the only name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will hear our cries and act on behalf of your sons. Keep praying and keep believing!
