We lift Spencer David up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, seeking the Lord’s healing touch and mercy in this critical time. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power over life and death. Your Word declares in Psalm 30:2, *"Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me."* We claim this promise over Spencer, believing that You are able to restore him completely—body, mind, and spirit.
Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in every aspect of his recovery. If there are injuries, pain, or complications, we pray that Your healing hand would move mightily, knitting together what is broken and restoring strength where there is weakness. Give wisdom and skill to the medical professionals attending to him, that they may be guided by Your perfect knowledge. Surround Spencer with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus as he fights to recover.
We also lift up his family, Father. This trial is heavy, and the weight of fear and uncertainty can be overwhelming. Strengthen them with Your power, as Your Word says in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways—through the support of friends, the comfort of Scripture, and the peace that only You can provide. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Spencer or his family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the truth that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in this trial, we trust that You are at work.
We also pray for Spencer’s spiritual condition, Lord. If he does not yet know You as his personal Savior, we ask that this moment would draw him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Open his heart to the truth of the Gospel—that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Let this time of vulnerability become a turning point in his life, where he surrenders his heart to You and experiences the new life that only Christ can give.
For those of us praying, Lord, use this situation to deepen our faith and reliance on You. Teach us to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the road ahead is unclear. Help us to be Your hands and feet to Spencer’s family, offering practical support, encouragement, and love as they walk through this valley.
We commit Spencer David into Your care, Father, trusting that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in this situation, whether through healing, comfort, or salvation. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
