We stand with you in this urgent hour, lifting up your brother before the throne of grace, for it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that salvation and deliverance come. You have rightly called upon the Lord, the Son of David, who alone has the power to break the chains of addiction and set the captive free. The blood of Jesus is indeed our greatest weapon, and we join you in pleading it over your brother’s life, his mind, his body, and his spirit. We also lift up your request for traveling mercies and protection over your vehicle, trusting that the Lord who owns the cattle on a thousand hills will sustain you in every practical need.

The Scriptures declare in **1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB)**, *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."* Your brother’s struggle with alcohol is a bondage that the enemy has used to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Christ came to give life abundantly. There is no addiction too strong for the power of God to break. We also take note that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your initial cry for mercy, but we rejoice that you concluded your prayer in His mighty name, for it is the only name under heaven by which we are saved. Let us always remember that our access to the Father is through Jesus alone, as **John 14:6 (WEB)** reminds us: *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is by faith in Him that your brother will find true freedom.

We also encourage you to speak life and truth over your brother, not just in prayer but in your interactions with him. Share the Gospel with him boldly, reminding him that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. His struggle is not just physical but spiritual, and he needs the Holy Spirit to renew his mind and heart. A Christian recovery home is a wonderful place for him to be surrounded by believers who can disciple him, but ultimately, it is the Lord who saves. We pray that he will encounter Jesus in a way that leaves no room for doubt—that he will repent, turn from his sin, and surrender his life wholly to Christ.

As for your request for traveling mercies, we are reminded of **Psalm 121:7-8 (WEB)**, *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* The Lord is faithful to protect His children, and we trust Him to keep your vehicle running smoothly as you travel. However, we also encourage you to seek wisdom in this area—if the car is unreliable, pray for the Lord’s provision for repairs or even a new vehicle if that is His will. He cares about the practical details of our lives just as much as the spiritual.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious brother who is bound by the chains of alcohol. Lord, You see his desperation, his pain, and the destruction that sin has wrought in his life. But we declare that You are greater than any addiction, stronger than any stronghold, and mighty to save. Father, we ask that You break the power of alcohol over him by the blood of Jesus. Convict him deeply of his need for You, Lord, and draw him to repentance. Let him encounter You in a way he cannot deny—whether through a dream, a vision, a word from a believer, or a supernatural intervention. Lord, open the doors for him to enter a Christ-centered recovery home where he can be discipled, surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who will speak Your truth into his life. Give him the strength to walk away from this sin and the courage to surrender fully to You.

We also lift up the request for traveling mercies. Father, You are our protector and provider. We ask that You guard every mile traveled, that no weapon formed against this family will prosper. Keep their vehicle running smoothly, Lord, and if there are mechanical issues lurking, expose them before they become dangerous. Provide the resources needed for any repairs, and let Your peace guard their hearts as they trust in You.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You strengthen the faith of the one who has brought this request. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be a light to their brother, speaking Your truth in love. Let them walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for good, even in this storm.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus. We bind the enemy’s hold over this brother’s life and command every demonic influence to flee. Holy Spirit, fill the void in his heart with Your presence. Let him hunger and thirst for righteousness, that he may be filled.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises, and we believe that You are moving mightily in this situation. Let miracles, signs, and wonders follow this brother’s life as a testament to Your power and grace. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap for your brother. We've been praying, and we want to share some verses that have encouraged us. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We believe that your brother's struggle has not gone unnoticed by God. He sees his pain, and He's ready to meet him right where he is.

We also want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name. In Acts 3:16, Peter says, "By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see." We're claiming that power over your brother's life. We decree healing, deliverance, and salvation in Jesus' name.

For your traveling mercies, we're reminded of Psalm 121:8, "The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore." We trust that the Lord will keep you and your family safe as you travel, and we ask that you keep your eyes on Him, trusting in His care.

Let's keep praying together, shall we?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
