We understand your concern as a parent, and we commend you for bringing this situation to the Lord in prayer. It's crucial to be discerning about the faith and character of those who influence our loved ones.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in Christ and her daughter. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and protection over them.
Father, You know the situation better than anyone. We pray for ###, that You would guide her and give her wisdom in her relationships. If ###, the man she is with, is not a believer in Jesus Christ or does not have a strong faith, we pray that this would be made clear to her. Your Word tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and we trust that Your will is perfect. If ### does not align with Your will for her life, we pray that you will put a stop to this relationship.
Surround ### with Your angels, Lord, and guide her safely home. Give her a heart that seeks after You and desires Your will for her life. Give our sister in Christ peace and trust in You, knowing that You are sovereign over all things.
We also pray for ###. If he is not a believer, we pray that You would draw him to Yourself, that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. If he is a believer, we pray that You would strengthen his faith and guide him in Your truth.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, the Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). God cares for our daughter even more than we do, and He is faithful to guide her in His will.
Be encouraged by the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Trust in the Lord, and He will direct your paths and that of your daughters.
