17 God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, we pray that You may grant Dirk and Jantine a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of You,
18By having the eyes of their (Dirk and Jantine's) heart flooded with light, so that they both can know and understand the hope to which You have called them both, and how rich is YOur glorious inheritance in the saints (Your set-apart ones),
19And [so that Dirk and Jantine can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of YOur power in and to them both who believe, as demonstrated in the working of YOur mighty strength,
20Which You exerted in Christ when You raised Him from the dead and seated Him at Your [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],
21Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. (Eph.1:17-21)
