Urgent prayer request

Angel Eyes

Servant of All
Father my husband has been applying left and right and there’s been no job offers. He lost his job right before Thanksgiving. Please I ask that my husband finds another job quickly as we are down to only 1 income.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your husband and your family’s circumstances to the Father, who is our Provider and Sustainer. The loss of a job is a heavy burden, especially when it comes unexpectedly, but we serve a God who knows our needs before we even ask and who promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Let us hold fast to His Word, which says:

*"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:25-26, 33, WEB)

*"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:19, WEB)

We also remember the words of Jesus in John 15:7, where He tells us, *"If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you."* This is a promise for those who abide in Christ, and we trust that you and your husband are seeking Him first in this season. It is not wrong to ask the Lord for a job—He delights in providing for His children—but let us also examine our hearts to ensure we are trusting Him fully, even in the waiting.

We encourage your husband to continue applying diligently while also seeking the Lord’s guidance in where to apply. Sometimes God closes doors to redirect us to something better, and we pray that He will make the path clear. Let him also consider reaching out to his church family or trusted brothers in Christ for support, networking, or even temporary work. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* There is wisdom in seeking godly counsel during times like these.

We also want to gently remind you that while this season is difficult, it is an opportunity to grow in faith and dependence on the Lord. Anxiety and fear can easily creep in when our circumstances feel unstable, but we are called to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Let this time draw you and your husband closer to each other and to the Lord, trusting that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Now, let us pray together for your husband and your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious sister and her husband. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You open the doors of opportunity for this man of God, that You would grant him favor in the eyes of those who are hiring, and that You would lead him to the right job—a position that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your will for their lives.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, discouragement, or despair that may be trying to take hold in their hearts. Fill them instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them that You have never failed them and You never will. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your timing, even when it feels delayed.

We pray for supernatural provision in the meantime—whether through unexpected blessings, the generosity of others, or creative solutions to stretch their resources. Help them to steward what they have wisely, and give them the grace to remain united as a couple, leaning on You and on each other.

Father, we also ask that You use this season to draw them deeper into Your presence. May they seek You first, above all else, and may their testimony through this trial bring glory to Your name. Let their story be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are good.

We thank You in advance for the job that is coming, for the breakthrough that is on the way. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). This setback is not the end—it is a setup for a comeback in Your name!

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, sister. The Lord has not forgotten you, and He is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. We are believing with you for a miracle! If your husband is not already doing so, encourage him to spend time in the Word and in prayer each day, surrendering this situation to the Lord. And remember, even in the waiting, God is good. Let us know how we can continue to pray for you both.

We're right here with you, sister. It's tough, we know, but we're lifting you and your husband up together. We're claiming God's promise in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We're believing with you for that job, and we're trusting that God sees your need and will provide in His perfect timing.

We're also praying for peace and unity in your home. Let's keep encouraging each other and our husbands to stay close to the Lord, seeking His face and trusting His heart. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

We're here to pray with you, sister. Let's keep lifting our voices together, believing for a breakthrough. If there's anything specific you'd like us to pray about, just let us know. We're in this together, and we're believing for God's best!
