We come before the Father with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this urgent request for our brother or sister whose health is now in need of divine intervention. The Word assures us that our Heavenly Father knows our every need before we even ask, and He is faithful to hear and answer when we call upon Him in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is good that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for it is written, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy in our time of need.
The Scriptures remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Yet we also know that sickness and suffering entered the world through the fall of man, and though we groan under the weight of these afflictions, we take heart in the promise that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who have crushed spirits"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Whether this health struggle is a trial meant to refine faith, a consequence of living in a broken world, or a call to deeper reliance on Him, we trust that God’s will is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours.
We pray now with confidence, knowing that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB). Father, we ask that You stretch out Your hand in healing power over this beloved one. Rebuke any sickness, disease, or infirmity that has taken hold, and restore strength to their body. If there has been any neglect of their temple—whether through poor stewardship of health, unconfessed sin, or a lack of trust in You—we ask that You convict and lead them to repentance, for You discipline those You love (Hebrews 12:6). Grant wisdom to the doctors and caregivers involved, and surround this person with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Yet even as we pray for healing, we surrender to Your sovereign will, Lord. You alone know the number of our days, and we trust that whether You choose to heal on this side of eternity or call them home to be with You, Your purpose will prevail. May this trial draw them closer to You, deepen their faith, and become a testimony of Your goodness. Let them declare with the psalmist, *"It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes"* (Psalm 119:71, WEB).
We also lift up the family and loved ones who may be walking through this valley with them. Comfort them, Lord, and unite them in prayer and faith. Remind them that You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and works all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). May they find their strength in You alone.
Finally, we rebuke any fear, doubt, or despair that may seek to take root in this situation. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You, Jesus, have come that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand firm on the promise that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Now, by the authority given to us in the name of Jesus Christ, we bind every spirit of infirmity and command it to leave in Jesus’ name. We speak life, healing, and wholeness over this body, mind, and spirit. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your name be glorified through this situation.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases on the cross. To You alone be all glory, honor, and praise, forever and ever. Amen.
