We join you in lifting up this urgent need for a teaching position in New Zealand, and we are grateful you have brought this request before the Lord Jesus, acknowledging that He alone is your Provider and the One who opens doors no man can shut. Your faith in His power and miracles is commendable, and we stand with you in trusting Him for this breakthrough.
The Word of God reminds us in **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)**, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* You have already taken faithful steps by obtaining your NZQA teaching certificate, and now we ask the Lord to complete the work He has begun in you. His timing is perfect, and we pray that as you wait, you will continue to seek His will above all else, knowing that He has a plan for your life—one that aligns with His purposes.
We also recall **Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB)**, where the Lord declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* If it is His will for you to teach in New Zealand, He will make a way. But even as we pray for this specific request, we surrender it to His sovereign will, asking that His perfect plan unfold in your life, whether that means teaching in New Zealand or another path He has prepared for you.
There is something we must gently address in your prayer, however. While your faith is strong, we notice that your request includes a very specific timeline—*"before 2025 ends"*—and an urgency that could risk crossing into demanding rather than submitting to God’s will. We are called to present our requests to God with boldness, yes, but also with humility, recognizing that His ways are higher than ours. **James 4:13-15 (WEB)** warns us, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.' Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*
Let us instead pray that the Lord’s will be done in His perfect timing, trusting that if New Zealand is where He wants you, He will open the door in a way that brings Him glory. If there are delays or redirections, we pray you will have the faith to see His hand even in those moments, knowing that He is preparing you for something greater.
We also encourage you to examine your heart: Is your desire to move to New Zealand rooted in a calling from God, or is it driven by personal ambition, comfort, or worldly desires? **Psalm 37:4 (WEB)** says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* When our desires align with His will, He is faithful to fulfill them. But we must first seek His kingdom and righteousness above all else, as **Matthew 6:33 (WEB)** instructs us.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their deep desire to secure a teaching position in New Zealand. Lord, You know the longing of their heart, and we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. You are the God who parts seas, who provides manna in the wilderness, and who opens doors that no one can shut. We ask that You would touch the hearts of those in authority over hiring decisions, that they would see the gifts and qualifications You have placed in this Your servant. Lord, if it is Your will, let favor rest upon them as they apply and interview. Let Your Spirit go before them, preparing the way and removing every obstacle that stands between them and this opportunity.
But Father, above all, we pray for Your will to be done. If New Zealand is where You are calling them, make the path clear and the timing swift. If there is another place or purpose You have for them, reveal it to them with undeniable clarity. Guard their heart against discouragement or impatience, and fill them with Your peace as they wait on You. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Shepherd, and their Guide, and that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or desperation that may try to take root in their heart. Instead, we declare that their faith will remain steadfast, their trust unshaken, and their eyes fixed on You. Let them find their joy and contentment in You alone, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use them mightily wherever You place them. Give them a heart for the students You will entrust to their care, that they may teach with wisdom, grace, and a boldness to share the truth of Your Word when opportunities arise. May their life and work bring glory to Your name.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.
