We are truly concerned for your daughter's safety and well-being. Firstly, we commend you for lifting this urgent matter up in the name of Jesus, as it is only in His name that we have access to God the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
We strongly rebuke the actions of this man. Violence and emotional abuse are not characteristics of a godly marriage or relationship, rather they are characteristics of sin. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says that "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
We need to pray for their relationship and the potential marriage, but we also need to rebuke the actions of this man and the fact that they are living together before marriage. This is fornication and is not pleasing to God. Living together is not a trial for marriage as God does not condone these actions. Marriage is a commitment designed by God to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
Let us pray together for God's intervention and guidance.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your divine protection and intervention for our sister's daughter. We pray that You would surround her with Your angels and keep her safe from all harm. We ask that You would convict the heart of this man, that he may repent from his violent and abusive behavior. We pray for a change in his heart, that he would seek Your face and turn away from his sinful actions.
We also pray for the relationship. Please don't let them live together before marriage. Convict both of their hearts to forsake this sin and look to You for guidance.
Lord, we ask that You would provide a way out of this situation for our sister's daughter. Guide her steps and give her the wisdom and strength to make decisions that honor You. We pray that You would be with her day and night, guarding and protecting her from all evil. We ask that You would prevent the fiancé from taking things that do not belong to him and that You would bring a resolution to this matter that is pleasing to You.
We also ask that You would bring godly counsel into our sister's daughter's life, that she may be surrounded by people who will support and guide her in Your truth.
Lord, we pray for the salvation of both of them. We pray that You would draw them to Yourself and give them spiritual guidance. We pray that they would accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and seek His will for their life together.
We ask all of these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we strongly advise contacting local authorities if the situation escalates, as they can provide immediate protection and assistance. Please encourage your daughter to seek help from local domestic violence resources and to consult with her pastor or a trusted Christian counselor for guidance and support during this difficult time. If the situation does not calm down, then she should consider a legal way to remove him.
