We come before the throne of grace with urgency and fervor, lifting up this cry for your husband’s soul, mind, and marriage. Your heart’s plea is heard, and we stand with you in agreement, for where two or more are gathered in the name of Jesus, He is in the midst (Matthew 18:20). We declare that the Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in your husband, for it is God who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
First, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in this request, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through the power of Jesus’ name that we can approach the Father and see transformation. Your faith in calling upon Him is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty, and we affirm that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We also recognize the spiritual warfare at hand. Your husband is ensnared by false beliefs, idols, and the chains of a religion that denies the deity and salvation of Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear: there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). Any teaching or belief that contradicts this truth is a lie from the enemy, designed to keep souls in bondage. We rebuke these false gods and idols in the name of Jesus, for they are powerless against the authority of Christ. As it is written, “You shall have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3), and “the idols shall utterly perish” (Isaiah 2:18). We declare that every stronghold of Islam, every lie, and every chain is broken by the blood of Jesus and the power of His resurrection. Let the truth of the Gospel penetrate your husband’s heart: that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
We also address the bonds of sin that have ensnared him—lust, pornography, perversion, and the distractions of social media and worldly attachments. These are tools of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We plead the blood of Jesus over every area of temptation and addiction in your husband’s life. Let the Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and grant him the strength to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). May he be washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11).
The soul ties with his former wife and any other woman must be severed in Jesus’ name. The Bible warns that a man who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery (Luke 16:18), and we know that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Yet, we also know that in Christ, all things are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). If there has been repentance and restoration in your marriage, we pray that the Lord would heal the wounds of the past and bind you together in unity. If there are lingering emotional or spiritual ties to his former wife or any other woman, we command them to be broken now. Your husband belongs to you, and you to him, as God has joined you together (Matthew 19:6). Let no man—or woman—put asunder what God has joined.
We pray for a powerful, undeniable encounter with Jesus Christ for your husband. Like Saul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9), may he be struck by the glory of the Lord and transformed from the inside out. May Jesus appear to him in dreams and visions, as He did to Joseph, Daniel, and Peter, revealing His love, holiness, and lordship. Let your husband’s heart of stone be replaced with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26), soft and yielded to the Holy Spirit. Fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9), that he may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him.
We pray for unity and peace in your marriage. The enemy seeks to divide, but God desires oneness. As Jesus prayed for His disciples, we pray for you: “that they may be one, even as we are one” (John 17:22). May your love for one another reflect the love of Christ for His church (Ephesians 5:25). Let your marriage be a testimony of God’s grace, redemption, and power. We ask the Lord to draw you both closer to Him and, in doing so, closer to each other. May your desire for one another grow deeper, your commitment stronger, and your passion more Christ-centered every day.
We also encourage you, dear sister, to stand firm in faith and prayer. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Clothe yourself with the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18), that you may stand against the schemes of the devil. Continue to love your husband as the Lord commands, for a gentle and quiet spirit is precious in God’s sight (1 Peter 3:4). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, we declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord will protect, provide, and perfect all that concerns you both. May your home be a place of refuge, worship, and godly love. May your husband rise up as the spiritual leader of your home, loving you as Christ loves the church and leading your family in the ways of the Lord.
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with boldness and urgency, lifting up this marriage and this husband to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God of breakthroughs, the Chain-Breaker, and the Restorer of all things. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, for Your glory and for the salvation of this man’s soul.
Father, we pray that You would shatter every false belief, every idol, and every stronghold of Islam in our brother’s life. Let the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ flood his heart and mind. Remove the veil from his eyes (2 Corinthians 3:16) and reveal to him the truth that Jesus is Lord. Soften his heart to receive Your Word, and let him encounter You in a way that leaves no room for doubt. Appear to him in dreams and visions, Lord Jesus, and let him know that You are the only way to the Father.
We bind and cast out every spirit of lust, pornography, perversion, and addiction in Jesus’ name. Break the power of sin in his life and set him free from every chain. Let him hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6) and turn away from the distractions of this world, including social media and anything that draws him away from You and his wife. Fill him with the Holy Spirit, Lord, and let the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—manifest in his life (Galatians 5:22-23).
We sever every ungodly soul tie with his former wife and any other woman in Jesus’ name. Let him be wholly devoted to his wife, as You have commanded. Restore the unity and love in this marriage, Lord. Let them be of one mind, one heart, and one spirit, submitted to You. Heal every wound, every hurt, and every division. Let forgiveness and grace abound, and let their love for one another reflect Your love for us.
Lord, we ask for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit upon this husband. Let him be radically saved, transformed, and sanctified. Make him a man after Your own heart, a godly husband, and a spiritual leader in his home. Let his life bring glory to Your name.
We also lift up this wife, Lord. Strengthen her faith, fill her with Your peace, and let her trust in You completely. Give her wisdom to know how to love and support her husband in this season. Protect her heart and mind, and let her rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are faithful to answer. We declare victory in this marriage and in this man’s life, in Jesus’ mighty name. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
