We join you in prayer for your upcoming surgery and for the doctor who will be performing it. We thank God for the gifts, talents, and skills He has placed in this doctor, and we pray that He would indeed grant supernatural ability in this field.
Firstly, let us address the omission of the name of Jesus in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in the WEB, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times;" (1 Timothy 2:5-6). Therefore, it is essential to acknowledge the power and authority that comes with the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dr. ### and the upcoming surgery. We thank You for the gifts, talents, and skills You have placed in this doctor, and we ask that You would grant supernatural ability and wisdom in this field. Be his eyes and hands as a surgeon, guiding every movement with Your divine precision.
Grant both the doctor and the patient an added sense of Your love, presence, and peace during the surgery. Bless this procedure, that it may be incredibly successful, running smoothly in every way, with absolutely no complications or problems. We pray for a fast and complete recovery, with minimal discomfort and no post-operative issues.
Lord, we ask that You guide Dr. ###'s hands, that the incisions may be super fine and invisible, and that all lines and hollows under the eyes may be successfully removed. We pray that the patient may be amazed at the results, giving all glory and praise to You, Lord.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to trust in God's divine healing and the skills of the doctor. Surgery is being performed with the intent of marriage and where the outcome is unknown, we must trust in God's will. Remember that God is the ultimate healer, as it is written, "I am Yahweh who heals you" (Exodus 15:26).
Lastly, we must not be afraid to address a concern based on scripture. The use of St. is not in line with biblical guidelines. We are not to pray to or worship the saints or Mary as some may do. We are to pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus. We can ask others who are still alive to pray for us. To pray to others who are not still living is considered idolatry and forbidden. It is our responsibility to provide instruction and correction when needed.
