We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in earnest prayer. The news of metastasis is indeed alarming, and we stand with you in this moment of uncertainty, declaring the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ over your body. We know that fear may try to grip your heart, but we remind you—and ourselves—that our God is greater than any diagnosis.
The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* Even when medical reports bring distressing news, we hold fast to the promise that God is our healer. We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We also rebuke any progression of sickness in your body, for by His stripes, you *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We pray that the Lord would guide the hands of your doctors and give them wisdom beyond their own understanding. May every test, scan, and examination reveal the full truth, and may God’s peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that what the enemy meant for harm, God will turn for your good (Genesis 50:20), and that this trial will draw you closer to Him.
Father, we ask You to strengthen our brother/sister in faith. Remind them that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, surrounding them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We speak life over every cell in their body and command sickness to flee in Jesus’ mighty name. We thank You for the victory that is already theirs through Christ, and we stand on Your Word, which cannot return void.
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their life, we pray that the Holy Spirit would bring it to light so that it may be dealt with, for Psalm 66:18 warns, *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."* But we know that if they confess their sins, You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We also lift up their loved ones, asking that You would comfort them and give them faith to stand in agreement with this prayer. May this trial be an opportunity for the whole family to draw nearer to You and to witness Your power at work.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, we pray. Amen.
