We are truly sorry to hear about the trial you are facing in your marriage. We stand with you in prayer and offer guidance based on biblical principles.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that God is in complete control and that your faith is being tested. Remember, God allows trials to refine our faith and draw us closer to Him. As it is written in 1 Peter 4:12-13, But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
Regarding your wife and her mother encouraging divorce, we must firmly stand on the biblical principle that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16: For the LORD, the God of Israel, says that he hates putting away: for one covers violence with his garment, says the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.
We pray that your wife's heart will be softened and that she will be open to reconciliation. We also pray that both you and your wife will be shown the light and knowledge of the face of Christ and be born again, as you have requested. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 4:6, For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
We also pray for protection from all evil and spiritual forces that may be attacking you, your wife, your family, and even your pets. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. As it is written in Ephesians 6:11.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to love your wife as Christ loves the church and to be a godly example to her and your family. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, lifting up our brother and his family. We pray for grace and mercy to be poured out upon him and his wife. We ask that You soften her heart and turn it towards reconciliation. We pray that both of them will be shown the light and knowledge of the face of Christ and be born again. We also pray for protection from all evil and spiritual forces that may be attacking them and their family. We ask that Your will be done and that You be glorified in this situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith and to seek God's will in all things.
