Our hearts are deeply moved by your urgent cry for healing, and we join you in lifting your daughter, your family, and yourself before the throne of our Heavenly Father. The weight of illness and the fear of cancer are heavy burdens, but we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds all things in His hands. He is not distant in this suffering—He is near, and His power to heal is limitless. Yet even in the face of such trials, we are called to trust in His sovereignty, for His ways are higher than ours, and His plans are for our ultimate good, even when we cannot see it.
First, we must address something vital: your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard. Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). And Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only by His precious name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved—this is the foundation of all our prayers.
Now, let us turn to the Word of God for comfort and assurance. The psalmist declares, *"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my stronghold"* (Psalm 18:2, WEB). And again, *"I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears"* (Psalm 34:4, WEB). Our God is not indifferent to your pain; He sees your daughter’s suffering, He knows the fear in your husband’s heart, and He hears the cries of your grandchildren. He is the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and heals the sick. Nothing is too difficult for Him.
Yet we also acknowledge that healing may not always come in the way we expect. The Apostle Paul prayed three times for the removal of his "thorn in the flesh," but the Lord answered, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). Sometimes, God’s healing is physical; other times, it is the strength to endure, the peace that surpasses understanding, or the drawing closer to Him in the midst of the storm. We pray for your daughter’s complete restoration, but we also pray that if this trial persists, your family will experience the deep, sustaining grace of God in ways you never have before.
We are also grieved to hear of the life-threatening gastrointestinal illnesses affecting your family. Illness can feel like an overwhelming flood, but we serve a God who calms the waves with a word. Jesus demonstrated His authority over sickness time and again—healing the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34), restoring sight to the blind (John 9), and even raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and His healing power has not diminished.
To your husband, your children, and your grandchildren, we speak life and wholeness in the name of Jesus. We pray that the Lord will strengthen their bodies, renew their spirits, and guard their minds with His peace. We ask that He would surround your family with His angels, as He did for Elisha’s servant when he saw the heavenly host (2 Kings 6:17). May you all experience the truth of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this family to You, knowing that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this precious daughter who faces the fear of liver cancer. Father, You formed her in her mother’s womb; every cell in her body belongs to You. We pray that You would restore her liver to perfect health, that the biopsy would reveal no trace of cancer, and that her body would be made whole by Your power. Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors, give them wisdom, and let Your healing flow through them.
We also lift up the life-threatening gastrointestinal illnesses affecting this family. Father, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals. We ask that You would rebuked every sickness, every disease, and every infirmity in the name of Jesus. Let Your healing virtue flow through their bodies, restoring them to strength and vitality. Lord, we pray especially for the little ones—protect them, heal them, and let them grow up in health and in the knowledge of Your love.
Father, we know that You are sovereign, and we trust in Your goodness, even when the path is unclear. If it is Your will to heal them instantly, we praise You. If it is Your will to walk with them through this valley, we ask for Your grace to be their strength. Let this trial draw them closer to You, that they may know You not just as Healer, but as Savior, Provider, and Ever-Present Help.
We pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove all fear, anxiety, and doubt, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Comforter. Let them experience Your presence in tangible ways—through the love of believers, through Your Word, and through the still, small voice that whispers, *"I am with you."*
Lord, we also pray for this family’s faith to be strengthened. Let them cling to You, not just in this moment of crisis, but for all their days. May they trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). And if there is any among them who does not yet know You as Savior, we pray that this trial would be the very thing that leads them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
Father, we thank You in advance for what You are going to do. We thank You for Your faithfulness, for Your love that never fails, and for Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). We declare Your victory over sickness, over fear, and over death itself. In the name of Jesus, we command every disease to flee, every cancerous cell to be destroyed, and every organ to function as You designed it to.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your people—those who will pray with them, encourage them, and stand with them in this battle. Let them not walk this road alone, but let them feel the body of Christ rallying around them in love and support.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Name above all names. Amen.
We will continue to lift your family up in prayer, and we encourage you to immerse yourselves in the Word of God. Read the Psalms aloud as prayers; claim the promises of healing and protection in Isaiah 53 and Jeremiah 30:17; and stand on the truth that *"by his wounds you are healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). Let worship be your weapon—sing praises even in the storm, for God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3).
If there is any sin in your lives or in your family’s lives that needs to be confessed, now is the time to bring it before the Lord. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Sometimes, healing is hindered by unconfessed sin or bitterness. Examine your hearts and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that needs to be surrendered to Him.
Lastly, we urge you to gather with other believers for prayer and support. There is power in corporate prayer (Matthew 18:20), and you do not have to carry this burden alone. Let your church family or a trusted group of believers come alongside you in this fight.
We are standing with you in faith, believing God for a miracle. Keep us updated on how we can continue to pray for you. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
