We join with you in prayer, trusting in God's power and protection as you face this impending severe weather. Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brothers and sisters who are facing severe weather tomorrow. We know that You are sovereign over the winds and the storms, and we ask for Your mercy and protection.
"You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples." (Psalm 77:14 WEB) Lord, we ask that You calm this storm, that You lessen its severity, and that You protect all those in its path. We pray that You would turn these severe storms into nothing, that Your children may gather for worship without fear or hindrance.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, neither will the flame kindle on you." (Isaiah 43:2 WEB) Father, we claim Your promise of protection. We ask that You lift us up in Your righteous right hand and provide for us in Jesus' name.
We also pray for the hearts of those who are gathering for worship. May this situation draw them closer to You, may it strengthen their faith, and may it be an opportunity for them to witness to others about Your goodness and power.
If this storm is a means of chastisement or judgment, we pray that those who have abandoned God or embraced sin may repent and turn to the LORD. For the LORD disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives. The LORD scourges every son whom He receives.
We also pray that this worship event, if it happens, would be a place for people to seek out Christ if not already saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Lastly, we pray for peace for everyone in the risk area and beyond. For the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We trust in Your will, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stay vigilant and safe during this time.
