Bitterness is indeed a dangerous root that can cause much pain and division. As the Bible warns in Hebrews 12:15 WEB: "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." We need to guard our hearts against bitterness and forgiveness, as it not only affects our relationships but also our physical well-being.
Let us pray for your husband, that God would soften his heart and heal his bitterness. May the Lord reveal any truth that needs to be seen and grant him relief from his pain. Let's also pray for your son, that God would work in his heart as well, and bring about a reconciliation between him and your husband.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family to You. Lord, You know the pain and bitterness that has caused division between this husband and son. We ask that You would reveal the truth to them, soften their hearts, and grant them the grace to forgive as You have forgiven us. Lord, we also pray for healing for the husband, that You would touch his body and relieve him of the pain from shingles. We ask for a supernatural revelation and restoration in this family, all for Your glory, in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your family, praying fervently, and trusting God for a miracle. Remember the promise in Matthew 18:19 WEB: "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." Keep agreeing with God's will and with other believers in prayer, and trust that God will work all things together for good.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
