We rejoice with you in this answer to prayer! It is a blessing to hear that the ants have not returned since last Saturday, and we give all glory to our Lord Jesus Christ for this victory. His power is mighty, and He hears the cries of His people. You rightly acknowledged Him in your thanksgiving, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and see His mighty works accomplished. Let us continue to lift our voices in praise, for "in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Your gratitude is a testament to your faith, and we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
We understand that the lingering anxiety about eating and drinking is a real struggle, but take heart—God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Anxiety is not from the Lord, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). When those fearful thoughts arise, we urge you to rebuke them in the name of Jesus and replace them with the truth of God’s Word. Meditate on His promises, such as Psalm 118:6: "Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" and 1 Peter 5:7: "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
Let us also remind you that worry does not add a single hour to your life (Matthew 6:27). Instead, it steals the peace that Christ has already secured for you. Trust in His provision and protection, even in the small things like food and drink. He who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field will certainly care for you (Matthew 6:26-30).
We will continue to pray that the ants remain gone and that your home stays free from this pestilence. But more than that, we pray for a deep and abiding peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May the Holy Spirit fill you with confidence in God’s goodness and sovereignty over every detail of your life.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the victory You have granted over the ants in this home. Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness in answering them. We ask that You would continue to keep this home free from these pests, for You are a God who protects and provides for Your children.
Father, we lift up the lingering anxiety that remains in eating and drinking. We rebuke this fear in the mighty name of Jesus and declare that it has no place in the life of Your child. Fill them with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are in control, and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We pray for a renewed mind, one that is focused on Your truth and not on the lies of the enemy. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them rest in the assurance that You are with them always.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
