We lift up your unspoken requests before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words, just as Romans 8:26 tells us, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered." Though we may not know the specifics of your burdens, we know the One who does, and we stand in agreement with you, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts full of faith, knowing that You are the God who sees and knows all things. You invite us to cast all our anxieties on You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). We ask that You would move mightily in the life of our brother or sister who has brought these unspoken requests before You. Lord, we trust in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). We pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in their inner being, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith, and that they may be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:16-17).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment, Lord. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We ask that You would grant them clarity and guidance as they navigate whatever challenges they are facing. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and lead them in the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be attempting to take hold in their life. For You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your Word, Lord, and we declare victory in every area of their life, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
We also want to encourage you, dear one, to draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and encourage you, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone, for He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power and authority we have in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, and it is only through Jesus that we can have a personal relationship with God.
We continue to pray for you, believing that God is at work even now, turning your mourning into joy and your sorrow into gladness (Jeremiah 31:13). May you experience His presence in a tangible way, and may His love and peace fill your heart as you trust in Him. We declare that the Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart trusts in Him, and you are helped (Psalm 28:7). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
