Unspoken request
We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude that He knows the deepest longings and unspoken burdens we carry, even when words fail us. The Scriptures remind us in **Romans 8:26-27 (WEB)**, *"In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God."*
How beautiful it is that our Heavenly Father hears not only the words we speak but the cries of our hearts that we cannot express. Yet we must always remember that our access to the throne of grace is through **Jesus Christ alone**, for **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
We rejoice that this request is lifted in the name of Jesus, for it is only through His righteousness that we can boldly approach God. Still, we must also consider whether what is being sought aligns with His will. **1 John 5:14-15 (WEB)** assures us, *"This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."* So while we trust in His goodness, we also submit to His perfect wisdom, knowing His plans for us are far greater than our own.
