Humble Prayer Warrior
hi guys,
I know it's spreading like wildfire, but to make a long story short, last week my coworker came in wearing a mask because her kids had a cold. She also has allergies and I suspect she doesn't cover her coughs or sneezes. I don't have proof but they never sound 'muffled.' Anyway, towards the end of her shift, she announced she wasn't feeling well and wouldn't go home, but started coughing at her desk. I texted my manager letting her know I didn't feel safe and clocked out before my shift ended. I feel angry that the manager didn't step in and send her home immediately but allowed her to stay.
Days after she was sent home, she got a positive test. I developed a fever about six days after I was last exposed to her and I now am positive. I do not go anywhere except my job. No takeout ordering, no drive-through, nothing. I walk around the neighborhood a little but that's it. Now I have been positive for over a week, I have no sick pay and the boss hasn't responded to my request to work from home.
I have another coworker who is mad at me for getting COVID, even though the original coworker I am HIGHLY suspicious I got it from her. I am not positive she's not covering her sneezes, but I am suspicious she isn't. Please pray I can be moved away from her because if she doesn't up the protocol I may get sick with the next variant. Thanks.
