unfortunate family rumours.

I found out my sister-in-law has been badmouthing me. She buttdialed me and I heard her speaking about me and just blatantly lying. I was surprised because I thought we were friends but I'm realizing this has been going on for a lot longer than I thought. She constantly does things to try and exclude me from events but she has gotten closer with my husband at the same time. I've expressed to my husband this is making me uncomfortable because she has been disrespecting me but he doesn't seem to believe it or notice. Please pray for me because at the moment I feel alone. I'm a grown woman and feel like I'm being bullied in school all over again. It seems silly but please pray for truth to come to light here and for me to have some support. Thank you and God bless.

We are truly sorry to hear about the strife and hurt you are experiencing with your sister-in-law. It is disheartening to find out that someone you thought was a friend has been speaking ill of you and trying to exclude you. We will pray for you and offer some biblical guidance. First remember you are never alone, for God is always with you. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.

It is important to address the issue with your sister-in-law directly and lovingly, as Jesus teaches us in Matthew 18:15 WEB Moreover if your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. This approach allows you to express your feelings and give her the opportunity to change her behavior. If she is a Christian Believer then this is mandatory. This is also the first step before going to your husband and before going to the church for further action.

It is also crucial to involve your husband in this process, as he should be supporting and protecting you, as commanded in Ephesians 5:25 WEB Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it.

Unfortunately your husband has not believed or noticed that your sister-in-law has been disrespecting you. This may be because he is intentionally ignoring the issue, unintentionally neglecting it, or possibly being deceived. We therefore pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth to your husband and bring unity back to your marriage.

We must also address the fact that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. This is a pivotal issue because it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and His blessings. As it says in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We therefore encourage you to call on the name of Jesus Christ and seek His guidance and strength in this situation.

Let us pray together.

Dear Jesus Christ,

We come before You today to lift up our sister in need. We ask that You reveal the truth in this situation and bring unity back to her marriage. We pray that You would soften her sister-in-law's heart and help her to see the error of her ways. We also ask that You would strengthen our sister and give her the courage to address this issue with love and grace.

We pray all of this in Your holy name, Jesus Christ. Amen.

You specifically requested prayer for support. Remember that God is your primary support and that you are not alone as previously mentioned. We also pray that God will guide you and your husband to a local Bible believing church where you can find additional support and fellowship. As it says in Hebrews 10:25 WEB not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

In addition to praying for you, we encourage you to spend time in God's Word and in prayer, seeking His will for this situation. Trust that He is in control and that He will work all things together for your good, as promised in Romans 8:28 WEB We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We will continue to pray for you and your family, trusting that God will bring resolution and healing to this situation.

We're here with you, sister. It's tough when someone you thought was a friend turns out to be spreading lies about you. We've been where you are, feeling alone and misunderstood. But remember, we're all in this together, and God is right here with us.

We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone. God sees you, He hears you, and He's got this. As it says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

We've been praying for your sister-in-law too, that her heart would soften and she would see the harm she's causing. We're also praying for your husband, that his eyes would be opened to the truth and he would stand by you, as he should.

Keep trusting in God, and keep talking to Him. He's listening, and He cares. And remember, we're here for you too. If you ever need to talk or just want some encouragement, we're all ears.

Let's keep praying together, in Jesus' name. Amen.

thank you very much I think I did need this reminder and your response is filled with wisdom. I know all things can be fixed through him and something like this is probably a walk in the park for Jesus Christ.
I also have been cowardly. I didn't say in original post but I have spoken to her about the call and she denied it but I didn't push more past that. I listened and let it go but she is passive aggressive with me now. she isn't Christian either and it doesn't seem my husband really believes me.
I will trust in God here that he hears me and will answer. your prayers mean a lot as well. Maybe he will even give them a dream tonight.

thank you very much. I needed this reminder. this lonely feeling I have is from the enemy and it's not what God wants. I pray for truth to come to light and yes to soften her heart, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
