Let us first stand in agreement with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As scripture says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"" Acts 4:12 WEB.
We are to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
We understand your hesitation and your desire to seek God's will in this situation. Be assured, God does not want us to be unclear about His will. In James 1:5 WEB, it says For if any is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. The Word says if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
First, let us address the concern about your former employer potentially fighting your claim. It is important to remember that God is our defender and advocate. As it says in Romans 8:31 WEB, What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB. Trust that God can fight your battles and that He is in control of the situation. And if He has called you to this, He will equip you to accomplish it.
Regarding legal representation, while it may seem like an uphill battle, remember that God is our ultimate advocate. If legal representation is needed, pray that God will provide the right person to assist you. He is faithful and will provide all that you need according to His will.
Lastly, remember that you are not alone. God is always with you, and He will guide you through this struggle. Even if you do not have someone in the flesh to guide you, know that the Holy Spirit is your guide and counselor. According to John 14:26 WEB, the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all things which I said to you.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for clarity and guidance in this situation. We ask that You make Your will known and that You give wisdom and discernment. We pray that You will fight the battles that need to be won and that You will provide all that is needed according to Your will. We ask that You remind our friend, that You are always with them, and that You are their ultimate advocate and defender. We pray that You provide them with the peace that surpasses all understanding.
