Unemployment Causing Problems

I have a new girlfriend that I like very much. We are both dedicated Christians. After going steady for only about a month I got laid off from my job. I am now unemployed. This is very hard on her. It is hard on me as well because I wish that she would be able to love me in the hard times as well as the easy. Please pray that we extend grace and mercy to each other. Thanks.

Father God, we are so grateful that you love these two young christians. You know how this will unfold, I pray Father that you bless this couple with the gift of faith in You. May they both rejoice in the knowledge that you are in control. Help them in this trial, Father. Help them to keep their minds stayed on you. This I pray in the name of Jesus

Unfortunately this may be a sign that she is not the right mate for you. Now is the time to find out rather than after marriage. Perhaps you have been blessed to see this early on.

Heavenly Father,

I ask for your mercy and grace upon BibleBeliever. Give him peace in this situation and wisdom to know how to respond to this. Show him Your will in this and help him to trust You that if this is not the right woman for him, that You have his future in Your hands and if marriage is in it, You are also preparing the perfect wife for him. Help him not to go after anything that is outside of Your will, and to see Your grace and provision upon him, as well as a better job ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

My dad calls this the universal relationship rule. Its a wall that we all hit sometimes, if not now, then in the future. Keep in mind that these issues are common, and you are correct, the right girl won't give up. I'll be praying!
