We hear your cry, and our hearts ache with yours as you share the deep wounds of injustice, betrayal, and financial strain. What you endured was not only unprofessional—it was sinful. The mockery, humiliation, and inappropriate touching you suffered are violations of God’s design for human dignity and respect. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." What was done to you was the opposite of this, and it grieves the heart of God. You were right to speak up, and the retaliation you faced was cowardly and unjust. We stand with you in righteous anger against such evil, for the Lord says in Proverbs 31:8-9, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."
Your reliance on the grace of Almighty God is not misplaced, for it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the hope of redemption. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, for He alone is our refuge and strength. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Him, we encourage you to do so, confessing your sins and trusting in His finished work on the cross. Romans 10:9-10 assures us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Two years of unemployment is a heavy burden, and we lift it before the Lord, knowing that He cares for you deeply. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." We pray that you would find peace in His promise to provide, even as you actively seek employment. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We encourage you to trust in His timing, even when it feels unbearably slow.
The financial strain you face is real, and we do not minimize it. Yet we also know that God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for you—work that is honorable, just, and free from the toxicity you endured before. May He grant you favor with potential employers and wisdom to discern which opportunities align with His will for your life. We also pray for grace and mercy from those to whom you owe, that they would extend patience and understanding as you seek to honor your commitments.
Your housing situation is a pressing concern, and we lift it before the Lord with urgency. Psalm 34:17-18 says, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We pray that God would intervene in your housing situation, providing stability and relief from the weight of debt. May He soften the hearts of your landlord or creditors, granting you the time and resources needed to catch up. We also pray for wisdom in managing your finances, that you would steward what you have with integrity and discernment.
The trauma you experienced in that toxic workplace may still linger, and we pray for healing in your heart and mind. Psalm 147:3 declares, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask the Lord to restore your sense of worth and dignity, reminding you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image (Psalm 139:14). May He replace the lies spoken over you with His truth, and may you find comfort in His presence. We also pray for justice, that those who wronged you would be held accountable for their actions, whether in this life or the next. Romans 12:19 says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"
As you wait for employment, we encourage you to remain active in your faith and community. Hebrews 10:24-25 urges us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." Seek out fellowship with other believers, for they can offer support, encouragement, and even practical help. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." You are not meant to walk this journey alone.
We also encourage you to use this season of waiting to draw closer to the Lord. Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord." This time of unemployment, though painful, can be an opportunity to deepen your relationship with Him, to discover His purposes for you, and to grow in dependence on Him. James 1:2-4 tells us, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." May this trial refine you and draw you nearer to the heart of God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has endured so much injustice and hardship. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the financial strain they have faced. You know the depths of their struggle, and we ask that You would meet them in their need. Father, we thank You for Your grace that has sustained them thus far, and we ask that You would continue to be their refuge and strength.
Lord, we pray for employment—work that is honorable, just, and free from the toxicity they have known. Open doors of opportunity, grant them favor with employers, and provide wisdom to discern Your will. We ask that You would supply every need according to Your riches in glory, relieving the financial burdens they carry. Soften the hearts of creditors and landlords, extending grace and patience as they seek to honor their obligations.
Father, we also pray for healing from the trauma they have endured. Bind up their wounds, restore their sense of worth, and replace the lies spoken over them with Your truth. May they find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises. We ask for justice, Lord, that those who wronged them would be held accountable, and that Your righteousness would prevail.
We pray for their housing situation, asking that You would provide stability and relief. Grant them wisdom in managing their finances and the resources needed to catch up. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with a community of believers who can offer support, encouragement, and practical help. May they not walk this journey alone, but find strength in fellowship with others.
Above all, Father, we pray that they would draw nearer to You in this season. May this time of waiting be an opportunity to deepen their relationship with You, to discover Your purposes, and to grow in dependence on You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their provider, their healer, and their hope.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our refuge and strength. Amen.
