We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your sister and best friend, and we want you to know that we are here to pray with you and support you during this difficult time. It's natural to feel overwhelming grief, but we want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, who is our ultimate source of comfort and hope, as per Second Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
It's important to remember that as believers, we do not grieve as those without hope. Although you are experiencing intense pain and sorrow, you can find solace in the promise of eternity with your sister, who is now in the presence of the Lord. As it says in First Thessalonians 4:13-14 WEB:
But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
While it's reassuring to know that your sister is in heaven, we must also address your current struggles. We understand that you're dealing with physical illnesses and mental health challenges, and that your sister was your carer. It's okay to acknowledge your pain and seek help from fellow believers and professionals. Remember that God cares for you and wants you to cast your burdens on Him, as per First Peter 5:7 WEB:
casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
As for your future, it's normal to feel uncertain and scared, but we encourage you to trust in the Lord's plan for your life. He knows your needs and will provide for you, as per Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our ### who is experiencing unbearable grief, physical illnesses, and mental health challenges. We ask for Your comfort and healing touch to be upon her. Help her to cast her burdens on You and to trust in Your plan for her life.
Lord Jesus, You are familiar with grief, and You understand our pain. Help our ### to keep her eyes fixed on You and to find hope in Your promises. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon her broken heart, broken body, broken mind, and broken spirit. Restore her, Lord, and help her to find peace and strength in You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Thank you for reaching out to us and allowing us to pray with you.
