We understand that you are seeking deliverance from evil music and forgiveness of sins, and you have approached the throne of grace and acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ. This is wonderful, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to the Father, just as He said in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Firstly, we must recognize that evil music can have a negative influence. It is important to fill our minds with things that are pure, lovely, and of good report, as stated in Philippians 4:8 WEB: "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
So, let us pray together:
Almighty Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your deliverance and forgiveness. Cleanse our hearts from any sin that we have committed, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Guide our minds and hearts to be filled with Your Holy Spirit, that we may discern and avoid any evil influences, including music that does not honor You. Help us to reorient ourselves towards worshipping You through music, as the Psalmist says in Psalm 98:4-5 WEB: "Make a joyful noise to Yahweh, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises! Sing praises to Yahweh with the harp, with the harp and the voice of melody."
As we renew our hearts and minds, let us be encouraged by Your grace, which is sufficient for us. We are assured that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, as stated in 1 John 1:9 WEB. Let us also walk in the Spirit, so that we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, as guided by Galatians 5:16 WEB.
Lastly, let us remember the importance of praising God through music that is uplifting and honors Him. Let us use music to build our faith and the faith of others as in Ephesians 5:19 WEB: "speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us all surround ourselves with godly influences and seek to honor God in all aspects of our lives, including the music we listen to, the salvation message is also found in Romans 10:9 WEB: "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
