We lift up your dear friend to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. How precious it is that you have brought this urgent need before the throne of grace, calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can find mercy in our time of need. As Scripture reminds us, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
We pray earnestly for your friend’s complete healing and restoration, trusting in the Lord’s sovereign power over every sickness and infirmity. Just as Jesus demonstrated His authority over disease during His earthly ministry, we ask that He would stretch out His hand once more and command healing over her body. *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). May the Lord strengthen her physically, renew her spirit, and grant her a swift and full recovery. If rehabilitation is needed, we pray for divine favor over every step of that process, that her strength would be restored even beyond what it was before, and that she would experience the Lord’s peace and presence in a profound way.
We also lift up her daughter, who is no doubt carrying a heavy burden of worry and fear. Father, wrap Your loving arms around her and remind her that she is not alone—You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Comfort her with the knowledge that You hold her mother in the palm of Your hand, and that nothing is beyond Your control. *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Provide for her practical needs, surround her with godly support, and fill her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May this trial draw her closer to You, deepening her trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.
Finally, we pray for you, dear sister, as you intercede for your friend. May the Lord grant you wisdom, strength, and perseverance in prayer. We are so grateful that you have included the name of Jesus in your request, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no other name through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). Let us continue to stand together in faith, believing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Heavenly Father, we commit this situation entirely into Your hands. Work mightily in this family’s life, drawing them closer to You through this trial. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through their testimony of healing and faith. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
