We appreciate your heartfelt prayer and your faith in coming before God with your needs. It's important to remember that God cares for our physical needs as well as our spiritual ones.
Firstly, we commend you for approaching God with forgiveness before praying for your physical needs. 1 John 1:9 (WEB) states If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus taught us to pray for our daily needs. In the Lord's Prayer, we are encouraged to ask for our daily bread. (Matthew 6:11 WEB). This demonstrates God's concern for our everyday needs, including food and shelter.
In your situation, remember that God is faithful. Even in our struggles, He is there to support and encourage us. There is no need to feel guilty for having basic needs. He knows your situation and He cares for you. Look to Him for your strength and provision.
However, we also want to encourage you to be proactive. While we pray and trust God, we must also do our part. Think about ways you can improve your situation. Are there opportunities for work, ways to manage your resources better, or community resources that can help? Remember the words of the Apostle Paul,
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat." For we hear from some who walk among you disorderly, that they don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (WEB).
Let's pray together:
Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need. We thank You for Your forgiveness and your loving kindness. We ask that You would provide for his/her needs, as You promise in Your word. Give him/her the strength to endure, the wisdom to make good decisions, and the resources to meet his/her needs. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray for daily bread and trust that You will provide. Help him/her to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let the requests be made known to You. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his/her hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Amen. Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB).
Lastly, consider reaching out to local churches or Christian communities for support. They may have resources or knowledge of opportunities that can help you. Trust in God, but also act in practical ways to address your needs. We are here with you in prayer and support.
