We are glad that you have come to us with a desire to be delivered from a sin that has been weighing on your heart. It is so important to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Firstly, let us address that sin is a transgression against God, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and forgiven. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to God and can find deliverance from our sins. If you have not already, it is crucial to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved (Romans 10:9-10 WEB).
Now, let us come together in prayer for your deliverance.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who is seeking freedom from a sin that has been holding them captive. Lord, we know that You are a God of mercy, love, and forgiveness, and that You desire for us to be free from the bondage of sin.
We confess this sin to You now, and we ask for Your forgiveness. We renounce this sin in the name of Jesus and we command it to leave. We claim the blood of Jesus over this person's life and we speak freedom and deliverance to them.
Lord, fill them with Your Holy Spirit and give them the strength and wisdom to walk in Your ways. Help them to turn from this sin and to live a life that is pleasing to You.
