We understand your desire for genuine, lasting friendships and we stand with you in prayer.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking God's will in your relationships and acknowledging that true friendships are a gift from Him and that it is In Jesus Name that we receive all blessings.
Remember Jesus needed to spend time with his disciples alone and not with the crowd. He even spent alone time with God. You need friends that you can spend time with alone and not just in a crowd. It is only with these friends and possibly a spouse in the future that you can share every part of your life and have a bond that is beyond shallow worldly things. Let us pray for God to bring you friends that you can share your life with and possibly court for marriage if they are of the opposite sex. Jesus is the bond that holds all believers together. Just as you acknowledged that all blessings are received in Jesus Name, it is important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we can truly be bonded with other believers.
The Bible tells us that a true friend is faithful in all situations. Proverbs 17:17 says, A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity.
We encourage you to be open and honest with those you meet, showing a genuine interest in their lives and sharing yours as the Lord leads. Remember, the Bible advises us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. James 1:19 says, So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
Let us pray together:
Father, in Jesus Name, we ask that you would transform these new acquaintances into true, lasting friendships according to Your will. Grant our friend the wisdom and discernment to navigate these new relationships, and the words to speak that would encourage and build others up. Help them to be a true friend, reflecting Your love and faithfulness. We ask that You would bring the right people into their life, people who will support, encourage, and sharpen them in their walk with You.
We also pray against the devil's plots to bring the wrong people into their lives and to hinder their ability to build relationships with the right people. We rebuke the devil in Jesus Name and command him to leave.
Lastly, we pray for you to be mindful of the importance of spending alone time with each friend and with God.
We ask this all in Jesus precious name, Amen.
In closing remember that you should not neglect going to church together as believers. Hebrews 10:25 advises us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
