I ask for prayers for my new family I was so blessed to marry in to. My sister-in-law has been going through a bout with ovarian cancer and a scare with breast cancer, now her stomach is full of cancer. This all has been happening within the 3 years I have been with my husband (then boyfriend). I am worried for her husband, whom has shared the last 24-25 years with her, and their 2 children, ages 23 & 21, but are very close to their mother. This is all coming at the same time of year when my step-dad's cancer returned (at Thanksgiving) and took him 4 days before Christmas 25 years ago. She has been given maybe one month to live. The Lord brings us to times when we will need to seek,pray, and help one another but I still have a hard time to accept what doesn't make sense, a wonderful person that this family still wants around. I know we must move forward and be strong, that is what I am praying for. For this family to seek, pray, and accept what is her will and that our Lord has something good to come out of all of this, even when that can't seem possible at this time. My faith and trust are with our Father and this is the beginning of my healing. Please pray with me for the strength needed, the acceptance to start, the healing to begin. I pray for my sister-in-law to go peacefully and with little pain, for she has suffered so much in the last couple of years. Please, Lord, watch over us all and help us make her passing easier for each other. Give us Your care & protection and see that we can adjust to Your will with the love you provide us always. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
