We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts ache with you as you carry this heavy burden. The cruelty you’ve endured in the workplace is not just unfair—it is an attack on your dignity, your health, and your very soul. The Bible tells us, *"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). The enemy has sought to rob you of peace, joy, and stability, but we declare that his schemes will not prevail. Jesus came to give you life—full, abundant, and free—and we stand with you in that truth.
Your exhaustion is understandable. Twenty years of enduring mistreatment, betrayal, and injustice would wear down even the strongest among us. But Scripture reminds us, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28 WEB). You are not meant to carry this alone. The Lord sees every tear, every sleepless night, and every moment of despair. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not forgotten, and you are not abandoned.
We must address the spiritual warfare at play here. The workplace bullying, the betrayal of those who claimed to help, and the physical toll it has taken on you are not just human actions—they are tactics of the enemy to isolate, discourage, and destroy. But we rebuke that spirit of oppression in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). The Lord is your defender, your provider, and your strength. He will arise on your behalf.
Your physical health is a serious concern, and we pray fervently for your restoration. The loss of appetite and weight under such stress is a sign of how deeply this has affected you. We ask the Lord to renew your strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31 WEB), to restore your body, and to give you the nourishment you need. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2 WEB). We claim that promise over you today.
The financial strain and fear of eviction are very real, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10 WEB) and who promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We do not dismiss the practical steps you may need to take—seeking new employment, exploring assistance programs, or reaching out to trusted believers for support—but we also declare that the Lord is your provider. He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
We must gently but firmly address the despair that whispers, *"The devil has won."* No, beloved, the battle is not over. The enemy wants you to believe that you are defeated, but the cross of Christ declares otherwise. *"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!"* (1 Corinthians 15:57 WEB). You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37 WEB). The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Ephesians 1:19-20 WEB). Do not surrender to the lie that this is the end of your story.
We also encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness. The injustice you’ve faced is grievous, and it is right to mourn the cruelty of others. But Scripture warns, *"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many"* (Hebrews 12:15 WEB). Bitterness will only poison your spirit further. Instead, we pray that the Lord would give you the grace to forgive—not because what was done to you was right, but because forgiveness frees *you* from the chains of anger and resentment. *"Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19 WEB). Release those who have wronged you into His hands.
As you seek new employment, we pray for doors to open that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8 WEB). We ask the Lord to lead you to a workplace where you are valued, respected, and treated with dignity. You have over two decades of experience, and that is not wasted in God’s economy. He will use it for His glory. We also pray for wisdom as you navigate this season—wisdom to know when to rest, when to seek help, and when to press forward.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our beloved brother/sister, lifting up every burden they carry. Lord, You see the injustice they have endured, the betrayal, the cruelty, and the toll it has taken on their body, mind, and spirit. We ask You to arise as their defender, their provider, and their healer. Restore their strength, Lord. Renew their appetite and their health. Break the spirit of oppression that has sought to destroy them, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Father, we declare that You are their Jehovah Jireh, their provider. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Lead them to a workplace where they are valued and respected, where their gifts and experience are celebrated. Provide for their every need—financial, emotional, and spiritual. We rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that hope rises in their heart today. Remind them that You have not forgotten them, that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. Heal the wounds of betrayal, the exhaustion from years of struggle, and the fear of what lies ahead. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who comforts, strengthens, and empowers. Give them the courage to forgive those who have wronged them, not for the sake of their oppressors, but for their own freedom. Let bitterness find no root in their heart.
We stand in agreement with them, declaring that this is not the end of their story. You are the God who turns ashes into beauty, mourning into joy, and despair into hope (Isaiah 61:3 WEB). We trust You to do a new thing in their life, to restore what has been stolen, and to lead them into a season of peace and abundance.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, you are not alone. The Lord is with you, and so are we. This season of hardship will not define you. The God who parted the Red Sea, who shut the mouths of lions, and who raised Jesus from the dead is fighting for you. Hold on. Your breakthrough is coming.
