He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.

Proverbs 17:9 (KJV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

"It's just a little harmless gossip." The Wise Teacher reminds us that gossip is neither little or harmless. Its consequences are huge and its damage horrible. Instead, it is much better to be a peacemaker and an offense mender.

My Prayer...

Father of Glory, I confess that I am often more a peace lover than a peacemaker. Give me the character not to repeat gossip and instead have the wisdom and strength to be an offense mender. Through the Prince of Peace I pray. Amen.

Forgive us o Lord all our sins. Help us to o Lord to forgive those who have done wrong to all of us. Please, give us the heart that pleases You. Amen

Father God, please forgive me for every word I have ever used in a wrong way I pray in Jesus Holy Name. I remember hearing a story of how our words were like a basket of feathers we carry around and how it is impossible to ever gather them all at the end of the day and it is so true.

I will never ever cover any transgression seeing or unseeing. Jesus knows our heart and everything we did and said in the past. All we have to do is to confess and never again repeat the sin you have done.
