We understand that you're struggling with overeating and rest, and you've reached out to God for help. We're here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your struggle and bringing it to God in Jesus name. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB.
Concerning overeating, the Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with our bodies 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB. It's important to practice self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23 WEB. Remember, God will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear, and He always provides a way out so that we can endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB.
Regarding rest, Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28 WEB. True rest comes from trusting in Jesus and resting in His love. Also, the Bible tells us that unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:1-2 WEB. Trust in God and allow Him to grant you peaceful rest. Remember, we are only to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and He will provide all that we need, including rest Matthew 6:33-34.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our beloved brother, asking for strength to overcome overeating. We pray for self-control and wisdom to make healthy choices. We thank You for the work You are doing in his life. We also ask for peaceful rest. We thank You for Your love, protection, and guidance. We trust in Your divine will for his safety and the safety of his loved ones. We ask for healing and blessings upon his life and family. We thank You for directing his steps and opening doors for him just as you promised. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
