to Remain Faithful to God

Some people do not have this problem. Please do not judge or be unkind. I have backslid several times over the years. When I first learned about God 20 years ago I was happy, until I learned that I REALLY had to give up the worldly stuff that I truly loved. I loved partying and everything that goes with it. I have really struggled because I felt that without those things I could not possibly be happy but I had made vows to God so I was stuck keeping them. I kind of felt like I was in jail a lot of the time and felt very angry. At times I felt like I was only serving God to avoid Hebrews 10 verse 26 the judgement.

I have noticed Gods blessing in my life lately. Please pray that I can remain faithful and not backslide and to actually enjoy it. Pray that I do not want to go back and that I no longer desire those things. Pray that I do not feel that I may be missing out. Pray that I remain content, happy, and faithful and that I am not lead into temptation. Please do not be unkind or judgemental. I am asking for prayer to remove the wrong feelings. I need help to want to serve God faithfully until death and to be happy doing so.

Dear one , there is not a person on this earth who has " arrived " so to speak , ALL of us are a work in progress , this is a daily thing that we must purpose in our hearts to live for Jesus . The bible tells us that there is pleasure in sin for a season , but anything apart from God will only leave us empty inside . To stay focused on the Lord when we live in a fallen world is not always easy , we seem to live in a " ME " society , but IF you stay in the word of God , and you pray , and you find a good bible believing church to attend , then your walk with the Lord will get stronger every day . Truly time is short and we need to be living a life that is pleasing to the Lord . You are in my prayers . Blessings !
