We rejoice with you in the answered prayer regarding your job! It is truly a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of persistent prayer. The book of James reminds us, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures. You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God"* (James 4:3-4 WEB). Yet in your case, your heart was aligned with trust in Him, and He moved mightily on your behalf. We give all glory to God for providing stability and purpose through this permanent position.
We also lift up your deep sorrow over the loss of your personal belongings in the storage unit. It is natural to grieve when something precious is taken from us, and your tears are not in vain. The Lord sees your pain and collects every one of them. Psalm 56:8 says, *"You count my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren’t they in your book?"* (WEB). We stand with you in faith, believing that God can restore what was lost—whether through the return of your items or through His provision of even better things. We rebuke the spirit of theft and deception in Jesus’ name and declare that the one who took your belongings will be convicted in their heart to do what is right. Proverbs 16:7 tells us, *"When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him"* (WEB). We pray that God softens their heart and leads them to return what belongs to you.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. You are the God of restoration, and we ask that You restore what was taken from our sister. Whether through the return of her belongings or through new provision, let her see Your hand moving on her behalf. Comfort her heart, Lord, and calm her spirit. Heal the hurt and replace it with peace that surpasses all understanding. We also ask for Your provision in her time of need. You know her needs even before she asks, and we trust You to meet them according to Your riches in glory. Open doors of opportunity for her to receive what she needs to move forward. Remind her that You are her Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.
We also want to encourage you to hold fast to your faith. God is not only able to restore what was lost but to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). While you wait, continue to seek Him in prayer and thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (WEB). Trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth and identity are not found in material possessions but in Christ. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life that no loss can diminish. Lean on Him in this season, and allow His love to fill the spaces where hurt has tried to take root. We will continue to stand in the gap for you, praying for restoration, provision, and peace. May the Lord bless you abundantly and remind you daily of His unfailing love.
