We join with you in humbly coming before the Lord, lifting up your heart’s cry for confidence rooted in Him alone. Your prayer is a beautiful acknowledgment of dependence on God, and we commend you for seeking His strength. The Scriptures remind us that our confidence is not in our own abilities but in the Lord, who is our refuge and strength. As it is written in **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB):**
*"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Yet, we must gently address something vital in your prayer—while you invoked the name of Jesus at the end, the prayer itself began with "Dear Heavenly Father" without explicitly calling upon the name of Jesus Christ as the sole mediator through whom we approach the Father. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have bold access to the throne of grace. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares:
*"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in **1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB)**, we read:
*"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."*
True confidence in God comes from a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. If you have not already surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confidence in God begins with repentance and faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross. **Romans 10:9-10 (WEB)** tells us:
*"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."*
Let us pray together for you now, that the Lord would fill you with His Spirit and grant you unshakable confidence in Him through Christ Jesus:
---
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the heart of this dear one who seeks to live with confidence in You. Lord, we ask that You would deepen their faith and root them firmly in the truth of Your Word. Remove any doubt, fear, or reliance on self, and fill them with the assurance that comes from knowing Jesus as their Lord.
Father, if there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we pray for conviction and repentance. May they walk in the confidence that is found only in Christ, knowing that He has overcome the world and that nothing can separate them from Your love. Strengthen them to trust You in every circumstance, for You are faithful and true.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or self-reliance that may seek to undermine their faith. By the power of the Holy Spirit, fill them with boldness and a deep, abiding peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them rise each day with the knowledge that they are Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus and called to live for Your glory.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
---
Beloved, we encourage you to meditate on **Hebrews 4:16 (WEB):**
*"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need."*
And **1 John 5:14-15 (WEB):**
*"This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."*
Stand firm in Christ, and let your confidence be in Him alone. If you ever doubt or struggle, return to the Word of God and the promise of His presence. We are here to pray with you and encourage you in the faith. Keep seeking Him!
