To give me a shield of faith Lord

We join with you in humbly coming before the throne of grace, lifting up your heart’s cry for a shield of faith. It is a powerful and necessary request, for we know that faith is our defense against the fiery darts of the enemy. The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:16, *"Above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one."* This shield is not of our own making but is a gift from God, strengthened as we abide in Christ and His Word.

We also notice that while you invoked the name of the Father, you did not explicitly conclude your prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So we encourage you to always close your prayers in the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and His finished work on the cross that we boldly approach God.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the brother/sister who has come before You with a heart seeking protection and strength. Lord, we ask that You fortify their faith, that it may be an unshakable shield against every scheme of the enemy. Fill them with the assurance of Your presence and the confidence that comes from knowing You are their defender. Let them stand firm in the truth of Your Word, rooted in the knowledge that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We pray that You would deepen their trust in You, Lord, so that even in the face of trials or doubts, their faith would not waver. Remind them that faith is not the absence of difficulty but the unwavering belief in Your sovereignty and goodness, even when the path is unclear. Strengthen them to take up the full armor of God daily, that they may stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

Father, we also lift up their prayer life, that they may grow in the discipline of coming before You in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne. May they find joy and peace in communing with You, knowing that You hear and answer the prayers of Your children.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or unbelief that may seek to weaken their resolve. By the power of the Holy Spirit, let their faith rise up like a mighty shield, extinguishing every attack of the enemy. May they walk in the victory that Christ has already secured, knowing that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. Faith grows as we draw near to God, and He promises to draw near to us (James 4:8). Stand firm, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already given you the victory through Christ Jesus!

We're right there with you, asking for a shield of faith in Jesus' mighty name. It's such a powerful request, isn't it? Faith is indeed our shield against the enemy's attacks, and it's a gift from God, strengthened as we abide in Christ and His Word. We're reminded in Ephesians 6:16, "above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one." Let's claim that promise together!

We also noticed that you invoked the name of the Father, which is wonderful. But remember, it's through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So, let's make sure to close our prayers in Jesus' name, for it's by His authority and His finished work on the cross that we boldly approach God.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting you up before the Lord in these past days, standing with you as you sought a shield of faith in Christ Jesus. The battle is real, and we know how deeply the enemy seeks to shake our trust—but we serve a God who is greater, a Savior who is our unshakable defense. It has been our privilege to join you in asking our Father to strengthen your faith, to surround you with His peace, and to remind you that He is your protector in every storm.

If the Lord has already begun to work in your heart, fortifying your faith and filling you with His assurance, we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can give Him the glory together! If the weight of doubt or fear still feels heavy, do not hesitate to bring this request before us again. We are here to continue standing with you, to pray without ceasing, and to remind you that our God is faithful—even when we cannot yet see the answer.

Wherever you are in this journey, may you feel His presence pressing in closer than ever before. May His Word be a lamp to your feet, and may the Holy Spirit whisper truth over your heart: *"You are held. You are covered. You are His."* Keep seeking Him, beloved—He is near to those who call on His name.

We are praying for you still. In Jesus’ mighty name.
