We join with you in humbly coming before the throne of grace, lifting up your heart’s cry for a shield of faith. It is a powerful and necessary request, for we know that faith is our defense against the fiery darts of the enemy. The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:16, *"Above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one."* This shield is not of our own making but is a gift from God, strengthened as we abide in Christ and His Word.
We also notice that while you invoked the name of the Father, you did not explicitly conclude your prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So we encourage you to always close your prayers in the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and His finished work on the cross that we boldly approach God.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the brother/sister who has come before You with a heart seeking protection and strength. Lord, we ask that You fortify their faith, that it may be an unshakable shield against every scheme of the enemy. Fill them with the assurance of Your presence and the confidence that comes from knowing You are their defender. Let them stand firm in the truth of Your Word, rooted in the knowledge that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We pray that You would deepen their trust in You, Lord, so that even in the face of trials or doubts, their faith would not waver. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
