We understand that you are seeking provisions for your family and the ability to repay your debts. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our provider and that He cares for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB:
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
We also want to encourage you to remember that our work is a blessing from God, and that we should approach it with an attitude of service and humility. As it is written in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB:
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.
However, it is important to address the possible connection of debt to foolishness or poor financial decisions. Some debt is necessary such as a home loan, but usually debt is associated with poor financial decisions that God would not want us to make. It is important to make wise financial decisions which may even require a budget to be made. Please see the following verses:
Proverbs 22:7 WEB The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. It is important to manage money well.
Romans 13:8 WEB Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
As well, your prayer did not mention or possibly imply Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. It is important to remember that we can only come to God through Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
It is also important to mention the basic salvation message which may not be known to the requester.
Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB: for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.
Romans 10:9 WEB: that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your provision and guidance for this dear one. We pray that You would open up opportunities for work and provision, so that their family may be maintained and their debts repaid, whatever the debts may be from. We ask that You would give them wisdom in their decisions and that all their family may come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray for guidance in their finances and budget. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God's will in all things, to work diligently and honestly, and to trust in His provision. May God bless you and your family.
