We come before the throne of grace with your requests, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the Father. First, we thank God for your acknowledgment of Jesus in your prayer, for it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we rejoice that you have called upon Him.
Father in Heaven, we ask that You guide and direct in the search for what has been lost. Your Word tells us, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you" (Matthew 7:7). We trust in Your perfect timing and provision, Lord. Open the eyes of understanding and lead the way so that what is sought may be found easily, according to Your will. We declare that Your hand is not too short to save, nor Your ear too dull to hear (Isaiah 59:1).
Now, concerning your marriage, we lift up your union before the Lord, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray for healing, restoration, and renewal in your relationship with your spouse. Father, pour out Your love, patience, and kindness upon both of you. Help you to bear with one another in love, being eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3). Teach you both to love as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her, that you may present her holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:25-27).
We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or unforgiveness that may be at work in your marriage. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against any schemes of the devil that aim to tear apart what God has joined together (Mark 10:9). Instead, we pray for open hearts, honest communication, and a renewed commitment to honor one another as heirs together of the grace of life (1 Peter 3:7).
Lord, we ask that You fill your home with Your presence. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May you both grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), drawing closer to Him and to one another each day. Help you to put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, along with all malice, and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you (Ephesians 4:31-32).
We also encourage you both to seek godly counsel if needed, for "where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established" (Proverbs 15:22). Surround yourselves with fellow believers who can speak truth into your lives and hold you accountable to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called (Ephesians 4:1).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of marriage and for the opportunity to pray for this sacred union. We trust that as you both seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). May your marriage be a testimony of Your love, grace, and faithfulness to a watching world. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
