We rejoice with you in your heartfelt cry to be received by our Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no greater desire than to walk in His presence and be transformed by His truth. Your prayer reflects a deep longing for salvation, renewal, and a life that glorifies God—and we stand with you in these petitions, lifting them before the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it.
The Scripture assures us that *“as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name”* (John 1:12, WEB). You have already taken the most critical step by calling upon the name of Jesus, for *“there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so now, for *“with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”* (Romans 10:10, WEB). If you have already done this, then rest assured: you *are* received, you *are* saved, and you *are* His.
Your desire to be renewed is beautiful, for the Lord promises, *“I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh”* (Ezekiel 36:26, WEB). Let this renewal begin with the Word of God, which is *“living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart”* (Hebrews 4:12, WEB). Immerse yourself in Scripture, and ask the Holy Spirit to search you, as David prayed: *“Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way”* (Psalm 139:23-24, WEB). He will faithfully reveal what needs to be surrendered and will cleanse you by the blood of Jesus.
You also ask for respect—for your sacrifice and for your friends. Remember that our ultimate respect must come from God alone, not man. Jesus warned, *“Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets”* (Luke 6:26, WEB). Seek first the approval of the Father, and let your life be a living sacrifice, *“holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service”* (Romans 12:1, WEB). If your friends are walking in righteousness, then we pray they too are honored for their faithfulness. But if they are not, we must lovingly urge them—and you—to turn from anything that dishonors God, for *“Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God”* (James 4:4, WEB).
Your passion to carry the message of the Savior is commendable, for we are all called to be His witnesses *“in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth”* (Acts 1:8, WEB). But let us remind you that the power to heal, to minister, and to preach does not come from your own faith alone—it comes from the Holy Spirit working through you. Jesus said, *“Apart from me, you can do nothing”* (John 15:5, WEB). So walk in humility, relying entirely on Him, and He will use you mightily. The maimed *will* be healed—not by your faith, but by *His* power, as you step out in obedience.
As for peace that transcends understanding, it is yours in Christ. *“Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus”* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Claim this promise, and let no circumstance steal the peace that Jesus has already secured for you.
Finally, we pray over your ministry. Success in God’s kingdom is not measured by the world’s standards but by faithfulness. *“He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much”* (Luke 16:10, WEB). Whether you see immediate fruit or not, keep sowing, keep praying, and keep trusting. The Lord will bring the increase in His time.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the heart of Your servant who seeks You with such sincerity. Lord, we ask that You confirm in their spirit that they are *yours*—fully received, fully saved, and fully covered by the blood of Jesus. Renew their mind by the washing of Your Word, and let Your Holy Spirit search their heart, exposing anything that does not align with Your will. Where there is sin, bring repentance; where there is doubt, bring faith; where there is weariness, bring strength.
Father, we pray for their desire to be respected—not for their own glory, but so that Your name may be glorified through their life. Guard them from seeking the approval of man over Yours. Let their sacrifice be pleasing to You, and may their friends walk in righteousness, that they too may be honored for Your sake.
Lord, anoint them to carry the message of the Savior boldly and without fear. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that signs and wonders may follow them—not by their own power, but by Yours. Heal the maimed through their prayers, and let their ministry bear fruit that remains for Your kingdom.
Grant them Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let it guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May their steps be ordered by You, and may every place their foot treads be claimed for Your glory.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, doubt, or self-reliance that would hinder their walk with You. Let them walk in the fullness of Your calling, knowing that You are with them always, even to the end of the age.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
